This is a role based in our new Soho Place office – opened in 2023 - in the heart of Central London and home to our Research Lab.
We’re seeking a Tax Manager to take on a broad and varied role, combining oversight of outsourced tax filings and reporting with significant involvement in transfer pricing. You’ll also provide tax advisory support across a range of business projects and initiatives.
This role offers the opportunity to work closely with teams across the business, helping to understand how commercial activities impact tax reporting and risk management. You’ll stay on top of evolving global tax developments and communicate their potential implications for the wider organisation.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
Managing outsourced compliance, including corporate and partnership tax filings
Overseeing all transfer pricing activities, including managing outsourced providers, reviewing pricing for new services and maintaining accurate documentation
Working closely with the business to ensure transfer pricing compliance and alignment with regulatory requirements
Managing R&D claims, including working with outsourced providers and ensuring proper support and engagement across the business
Providing tax advisory support on business projects, coordinating with external advisors as needed
Monitoring and improving tax processes and controls to manage risk effectively
Supporting the communication of tax matters to senior stakeholders
Using data, modelling and, where practical, automation to support tax analysis and documentation
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
Experience with UK corporate tax and/or international tax matters, ideally in tax advisory with a solid understanding of how this translates into tax reporting
Comfortable working with data and financial models
Willingness to build strong working relationships with teams and advisors, and to communicate tax matters in a clear, practical way
Experience with partnership taxation, transfer pricing of services and/or tax issues arising from cross-border activity and transactions would be beneficial
