Description
  • Develop and implement the group's tax strategy, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and Board approval.
  • Oversee UK and international tax compliance, including HMRC filings, VAT processes, and PSA reviews.
  • Deliver forward-looking tax advice to support business decisions, balancing compliance with commercial objectives.
  • Drive tax planning initiatives, making use of government-backed schemes to optimise the corporate tax position.
  • Provide tax due diligence and advisory support for mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic transactions.
  • Manage relationships with external tax advisors, ensuring quality service and value for money.
  • Supervise banking operations, including mandates, relationship management, and fraud prevention protocols.
  • Support internal controls testing and contribute to effective currency and cash management practices.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to streamline tax processes and reporting.
Profile

A successful Tax Manager should have:

  • A recognised qualification in tax, accounting, or a related field. (ACA/ACCA/CTA/CIMA)
