Job summary

TPF Recruitment are delighted to support an independent accountancy practice in Worthing in recruiting a Tax Manager to join a close-knit team. You will manage a varied portfolio of personal and business tax clients, provide proactive tax planning and ensure timely compliance.

The role suits an experienced tax professional wishing to work in a supportive, office-based environment with opportunities to mentor junior staff and progress within the firm.

Qualifications

• Currently working at Tax Senior or Tax Manager level.
• CTA desirable, but candidates studying or qualified through ATT, ACA or ACCA will also be considered.
• Strong prior tax experience valued over formal qualifications where demonstrated.
• Confident managing your own portfolio and communicating directly with clients.
• A team focused approach and a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Managing a portfolio of personal and business tax clients.
• Preparing and reviewing personal tax returns.
• Preparing and reviewing corporation tax returns.
• Handling capital gains tax and inheritance tax compliance matters.
• Acting as a point of contact for clients, responding to queries and providing practical advice.
• Liaising with HMRC where required.
• Supporting and mentoring junior members of the team where appropriate.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced tax professional who enjoys working with a varied client base and being part of a supportive, office based environment. The firm are open to considering candidates operating at Tax Senior or Tax Manager level, depending on experience.

The Role
