Tax Manager

Location: Hybrid / Eastleigh, Hampshire

Contract Type: 9-12 Month Fixed Term Contract - Part Time and Full Time opportunities available

Salary Range: £52,000 – £78,000 per annum

We are seeking an experienced and qualified Tax Manager to join our client’s dynamic team. This is a crucial role responsible for managing the internal and external tax compliance and reporting activities for the UK Group.

You will be instrumental in the smooth onboarding of new acquisitions and will play a key part in managing a broad range of stakeholder relationships, both internally and externally. This contract offers excellent flexibility for professionals looking for either full-time or reduced hours.

Responsibilities
  • Compliance & Reporting: Efficiently manage all tax affairs for the UK businesses, including taking the lead on the submission of Corporation Tax (CT) computations and returns, VAT returns, and Insurance Premium Tax (IPT) returns to HMRC, ensuring all deadlines and legislation are met.
  • Financial Accuracy: Ensure all tax disclosures within the year-end accounts are calculated accurately and align with relevant legislation and accounting standards.
  • Advisory: Assist the Payroll and HR teams with employment tax matters as needed.
  • Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary point of contact with HMRC. Build and maintain strong relationships with professional tax advisors, external auditors, and other third parties involved in taxation matters.
  • Group Involvement: Provide input and guidance into wider group activities and projects.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
  • Qualifications: You must be a Qualified Accountant or Tax Advisor with a proven, successful track record in a tax reporting capacity.
  • Technical Knowledge: A deep understanding of CT, VAT, and IPT, coupled with broad commercial awareness and knowledge of the relevant business environment.
  • Analytical Skills: The ability to seamlessly understand, evaluate, and interpret complex financial data and Tax Legislation.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; you must be articulate and confident when engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
  • IT Proficiency: Strong IT literacy, including an excellent working knowledge of spreadsheet software, particularly Microsoft Excel.
