Overview

Tax Manager - London / Hybrid - £90k - £115k + Benefits


A leading energy infrastructure business is expanding its UK operations and seeking a Tax Manager to join its team. This is a newly created role within a new exciting project, offering long-term growth and strategic involvement in one of the UK's most forward-thinking energy initiatives.


Role

This standalone position will be responsible for overseeing tax strategy and compliance across the UK entity. The successful candidate will act as the primary point of contact for all tax-related matters, supporting both operational and strategic goals within a regulated framework.


Long term there will be scope to build out a team.


Responsibilities


  • Lead UK corporate tax compliance and planning

  • Prepare and submit VAT and corporate tax returns

  • Advise on tax implications of M&A, restructuring, and project financing

  • Support audits, budgeting, and forecasting processes

  • Liaise with HMRC and other regulatory bodies

  • Monitor legislative changes and assess impact

  • Represent the business in relevant industry forums


Qualifications


  • ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CTA qualified

  • Strong UK corporate tax experience

  • Background in energy, infrastructure, or regulated sectors (preferred)

  • VAT and international tax knowledge

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently
