Job summary

Toyota Financial Services UK is seeking a Tax & Finance Projects Accountant to join our Finance team, offering a fantastic opportunity to develop specialist tax expertise while contributing to a range of business-critical projects.

This role sits under the Tax Manager and provides exposure to VAT, Corporation Tax and transfer pricing across UK subsidiaries. You’ll ensure compliance, support new entity setups and work with external advisors.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of VAT and VAT returns.
• Experience with partial exemption.
• Understanding of Corporation Tax.
• Experience in corporate and deferred tax accounting.
• Experience in tax compliance or advisory in a commercial context (HMRC or practice helpful).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; Alphatax experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support the Tax Manager on taxation for UK subsidiaries.
• Produce IFRS Tax Accounts for current and deferred CT.
• Prepare Corporation Tax numbers for reporting to Japan and HMRC.
• Prepare and submit yearly Corporation Tax Return to HMRC.
• Coordinate with external advisers to ensure BEPS compliance.
• Assist with transfer pricing compliance and group relief processes.
• Prepare quarterly VAT Returns and PSA reporting as needed.
• Maintain SAO compliance and tax procedures; support new entity setups.
