Job summary

AJ Chambers ®, an established and growing accountancy firm in the United Kingdom, seeks an experienced Tax Director or Partner to join its expanding tax team and lead senior-level advisory work. You will manage a varied client portfolio, mentor staff, and drive growth within the tax department.

You will oversee complex corporate and personal tax matters, craft HMRC responses, and contribute to business development while upholding high professional standards.

Qualifications

• Strong technical knowledge of UK tax legislation.
• Proven experience delivering tax advisory services.
• Excellent client relationship and stakeholder management skills.
• Collaborative leadership style with experience managing and developing teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage a diverse portfolio of clients and deliver exceptional tax advisory services.
• Lead senior leadership on complex corporate and personal tax projects.
• Oversee transaction documentation for reorganisations, share schemes, property transfers, and M&A.
• Draft technical responses to HMRC enquiries with commercially focused advice.
• Mentor, coach, and develop tax team members.
• Identify opportunities for additional advisory work within client portfolios.
• Support business development and win new clients.
• Contribute to the strategic growth of the tax department.
