The Opportunity
As Tax Director, you will work closely with a Partner to deliver both compliance and strategic advisory services to a varied and high calibre portfolio of clients including high net worth individuals, entrepreneurs and fast growth businesses. The role offers exposure across both personal and corporate tax matters and the chance to get involved in project-based work such as inheritance tax planning, corporate restructuring and succession planning.
You will play a key leadership role within the firm, managing and mentoring a growing team and helping to shape the future of the tax service offering. The firm offers autonomy, flexibility and a genuine opportunity to make a lasting impact both internally and with clients.

What You Will Be Doing

• Deliver advisory work across personal and corporate tax including trusts, IHT, R&D claims and corporate reorganisations
• Oversee corporation tax compliance, including review of computations and liaison with audit and accounting teams
• Lead and develop team members, allocating workloads and supporting career progression
• Advise clients on technical matters including residency, structuring and succession planning
• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners such as legal and wealth management firms
• Drive continuous improvement in client delivery, technical development and internal processes
• Contribute to wider firm initiatives including training delivery, business development and networking

What We Are Looking For

• CTA qualified or ACA, ACCA, CA with demonstrable tax experience
• Strong personal tax background essential; exposure to corporate tax and advisory work highly desirable
• Experience operating at Senior Manager level or above within a practice environment
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build trusted client relationships
• Confidence leading and developing teams
• Strong technical grounding across areas such as trusts, IHT, corporate structuring and tax residency
• Proactive, commercially aware and solutions focused

Desirable but Not Essential

• Familiarity with tax software such as CCH or Iris
• Experience delivering internal or external training
