Job summary

DoorDash is seeking an experienced Data Analytics Engineer to join our Tax Data Mart. You will own data ingestion, transformation, and governance, enabling analytics and decision-making across our global tax operations.

You will design and operate data pipelines, models, and warehouses, collaborating with Tax, Analytics, and business partners to enable scalable, reliable tax analytics across the company.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in a Tax data & technology or similar role.
• Experience using SQL with Snowflake.
• Proficiency with DBT or similar data orchestration tool.
• Experience with Claude, Cursor, and AI tools.
• Proficiency in Python for building data pipelines.
• Experience with modern data stack and orchestration tools like Airflow, Spark or Kafka.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical and organizational skills.
• Able to manage multiple projects independently and communicate clearly.
• Degree in CS/IT/Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead collection of Tax Data and reporting requirements through close collaboration with Tax teams.
• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines (ETL/ELT).
• Develop and optimize data models and warehouse structures for analytics.
• Collaborate with Analytics, Data Science, and business partners on new data sources.
• Document business, functional and technical requirements for new initiatives.
• Define data tooling needs and maintain existing systems.
• Prepare documentation for data systems and processes.
• Share knowledge and best practices across the team.
