Tax Consultant – Film Team

A very new, unique, and enviable position within the area of film taxation. Due to our expertise and reputation, we are asked to act for the key talent on circa 90% of major US studio feature films that are commissioned for production in locations outside the US. Our specialization is ensuring that actors, directors, and other key personnel meet their international tax obligations and operate in the most tax-efficient way possible.

As a result of our ongoing success, we have created a new position for a Tax Consultant within the film team.

The work will involve:
  1. Preparing applications to HMRC for key talent entering the UK.
  2. Assisting in advising key talent on structuring their involvement in film projects.
  3. Reviewing the implications of tax laws in other jurisdictions relevant to a project.
  4. Assisting in advising on contractual matters from a tax perspective.
  5. Preparing tax forecasts and completing the UK Tax Returns for key talent.
  6. Researching future projects and actively involved in generating new work.

This really is a very rare opportunity to learn a skill-set that few others have within the profession and deal with the affairs of prominent persons within the entertainment industry.
