We’re looking for an experienced Tax Compliance Senior to join our client’s growing team in Glasgow on a permanent basis. You’ll take on greater responsibility across a varied portfolio of tax compliance work, using your technical knowledge while collaborating with colleagues across the wider Tax team.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for accurately entering tax information into specialist software, preparing client records for review by the Tax Compliance Manager. You’ll manage more complex areas of the portfolio, including Profit Sharing, Farmers’ Averaging Claims and Capital Gains Tax (CGT) computations, while ensuring tax returns are submitted electronically to HMRC.
You’ll also liaise with clients to obtain any outstanding information, identify and report HMRC compliance enquiry notices, and provide guidance, training and ongoing support to Tax Compliance Assistants within the wider team.
You will ideally be ATT or CTA qualified, although candidates who are qualified by experience (QBE) in a similar role will also be considered. You’ll have proven experience working in an accounting or tax compliance role within an accountancy practice, alongside fluent English and a full UK driving licence, which is essential for the position.

Strong organisation, problem-solving and time management skills are essential, along with the ability to use your initiative, work effectively under pressure and consistently meet strict deadlines.
