Roles and responsibilities

1. Develop claim methodologies and prepare R&D tax relief claims for submission to HMRC for Forvis Mazars clients.
2. Act as the main point of contact for all R&D Tax queries from Forvis Mazars clients and liaise with HMRC on their behalf.
3. Write technical descriptions of clients' projects and prepare documentation to support R&D claims based on UK BIS guidelines.
4. Coach and review work completed by junior staff within your team.
5. Possess strong technical knowledge of UK R&D Tax and the preparation of R&D claims.

Skills, knowledge, and experience

1. Strong technical knowledge of UK R&D Tax and experience in preparing R&D claims.
2. ATT (or equivalent) qualification.
3. Demonstrate broad and strong technical tax knowledge and experience.
4. Experience managing client financials, delivering on budgets, and negotiating fees with clients.
5. Experience identifying business development opportunities within tax and potentially other service lines.

This role can be full-time or part-time and is based from our Manchester or Leeds offices.
