Job description

Our client, a leading international law firm, is seeking a Tax Associate to join their dynamic tax team in London. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified solicitor to take on a pivotal role within a firm known for their global reach and impressive client roster.

Position Overview

As a Tax Associate, you will work as part of a close-knit team on a wide range of challenging domestic and international tax projects. Your work will primarily involve delivering expert tax planning, advisory and transactional support to the firm's clients. You will play a key role in providing clear, commercially focused advice to clients while also contributing to the development and execution of the firm's business development strategy.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality tax planning, advisory and transactional support on a broad range of domestic and international projects
  • Deliver clear, commercially focused tax advice to clients while demonstrating a strong grasp of the underlying business context
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues across the firm to deliver seamless, integrated services to clients
  • Contribute to the development and execution of effective business development strategies to drive growth
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
  • Stay up to date with developments in tax legislation and proactively identify new opportunities to support clients
  • Assist with the development and mentoring of junior team members
Requirements
  • Qualified solicitor with at least 1-5 years of UK tax experience gained at a top-tier international law firm
  • Exposure to a mix of tax planning, advisory and transactional work
  • Excellent technical knowledge of UK tax law coupled with strong commercial acumen
  • Proactive and adaptable approach with a focus on delivering reliable, responsive and high-quality client service
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusted relationships with clients and colleagues
  • Enthusiastic team player with a client-centric mindset
  • Keen interest in business development and a commitment to supporting the growth of the tax practice
  • Strong academic record with a minimum 2:1 degree or equivalent
