Think Accountancy and Finance in the Midlands is seeking a Tax Assistant Manager to join its growing tax team. You will manage your own personal tax portfolio and work closely with Managers and Directors on advisory work.

The role offers a clear route to Tax Manager, CTA/study support, and flexible working. You’ll handle UK tax returns, build long-term client relationships, and contribute to the ongoing growth of the practice.

Qualifications

• Solid UK personal tax practice experience.
• Ability to manage a personal tax portfolio with minimal supervision.
• Ambition to progress to Tax Manager within the team.
• Willingness to study towards CTA or demonstrate CTA-level knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Manage your own portfolio of personal tax clients.
• Prepare and review UK tax returns.
• Support managers and directors with tax advisory work.
• Build long-term client relationships and liaise directly with clients.
• Review work and support junior team members.
• Get involved in more complex tax matters as you gain experience.
• Contribute to the growth and development of the tax team.
