Job summary

Cameron James Professional Recruitment is seeking a Tax Assistant Manager in Central London. The role offers a salary between £55,000 and £60,000, with a hybrid work arrangement after successful completion of probation.

You will manage tax client portfolios, review returns, and support advisory work. The ideal candidate will be CTA or ATT qualified with about five years in tax, strong client communication, and solid knowledge of personal and corporate tax.

Qualifications

• CTA or ATT qualification or equivalent accounting/tax credential.
• At least 5 years of tax experience.
• Experience with self-assessment, corporation tax, CGT, ATED, P11D and securities returns.
• Strong communication skills across clients and colleagues.
• Strong technical knowledge of personal and corporate tax.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of tax clients across personal and corporate compliance.

• Act as point of contact for clients.
• Identify tax planning opportunities.

Role: Tax Assistant Manager

Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours with hybrid work available after completion of
probation

Our client, a leading firm in the city, is seeking to appoint a Tax Assistant Manager to its existing team.

Duties for the Tax Assistant Manager:

• manage a portfolio of tax clients across both personal and corporate compliance
• review tax returns, computations and supporting work by junior team members
• support tax advisory and planning assignments
• point of contact for clients
• identify tax planning opportunities
• support the tax manager and director
• coach and support junior colleagues
• oversee the monitoring of compliance deadlines
• oversee in house tax training

Experience for the Tax Assistant Manager:

• CTA or ATT qualified
• 5 years experience within a tax role
• experience with the submission and preparation of self-assessment, corporation tax, CGT, ATED, P11D's and securities returns
• strong communication skills
• strong technical knowledge of personal and corporate tax
