Job summary

Beyond Talent is working with a reputable and growing Accountancy Practice in Retford to recruit a Tax Assistant for a full-time, permanent role. You will join a friendly, supportive team and gain experience across a broad range of tax work.

Qualifications

• Experience in an accountancy or tax environment is beneficial but training will be provided.

• Good communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation of personal and corporation tax returns and P11D submissions.
• Support tax compliance for a varied portfolio of clients (sole traders, partnerships, Ltd companies).
• Liaise with HMRC and respond to client queries.
• Support tax planning and advisory work as experience develops.
• Manage workloads to ensure timely and accurate completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the wider team with tax planning and advisory work as your experience develops.
• Manage workloads effectively, ensuring work is completed accurately and within required deadlines.

Profile & Requirements

• Previous experience within an accountancy or tax environment would be beneficial, although full training and support can be provided for the right person.
• A keen interest in developing a career in taxation.
• Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Confident using Microsoft Office, with experience of accounting or tax software advantageous.
