Job summary

Ayvens is seeking a Senior Tax Analyst to join our Finance team in the UK. You will handle a mix of compliance, reporting and advisory work to support tax obligations while enabling commercially sound decisions.

You’ll work with Finance, Legal, Treasury and Risk colleagues on tax-related projects, including transfer pricing, SOS, and process improvements, contributing to our sustainable mobility agenda.

Qualifications

• Experience in a tax, finance or accounting role.
• Strong knowledge of UK taxation VAT and Corporation Tax.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to explain complex tax matters clearly.
• Strong communication and relationship-building across the business.
• Proactive in challenging processes to drive improvements.
• Attention to detail and ability to prioritise.
• Capable of working independently while collaborating with others.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Corporation Tax returns and quarterly VAT returns.
• Support monthly, quarterly and year-end tax reporting.
• Prepare PAYE Settlement Agreement calculations for the UK Group.
• Calculate tax accruals and support statutory reporting and disclosures.
• Maintain tax forecasts and support budgeting activities.
• Collaborate with Finance, Legal, Treasury and Risk to reflect tax in decisions.
• Support HMRC enquiries, audits and information requests.
• Assist stakeholders with tax queries and provide practical guidance.
• Support key tax projects including transfer pricing and SOS requirements.
• Review processes and identify efficiency, controls, and reporting improvements.

We’re looking for a Senior Tax Analyst to join our Finance team.

This is a great opportunity for someone with strong tax experience who enjoys getting involved in a mix of compliance, reporting and advisory work. You’ll work closely with colleagues across Finance and the wider business, helping to ensure we meet our tax obligations while supporting commercially sound decision-making.

The role offers plenty of variety and the opportunity to build relationships across the business while contributing to key tax projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing Corporation Tax returns and quarterly VAT returns
• Supporting monthly, quarterly and year-end tax reporting requirements
• Preparing PAYE Settlement Agreement calculations for the UK Group
• Calculating tax accruals and supporting statutory reporting and tax disclosures
• Maintaining tax forecasts and supporting budgeting activities
• Working with Finance, Legal, Treasury and Risk teams to ensure tax considerations are reflected in business decisions
• Supporting HMRC enquiries, audits and requests for information
• Assisting stakeholders across the business with tax-related queries and providing practical guidance
• Supporting key tax projects, including transfer pricing and Senior Accounting Officer requirements
• Reviewing existing processes and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, controls and reporting

Essential Skills & Experience

Essential

• Experience working in a tax, finance or accounting role
• Strong working knowledge of UK taxation, particularly VAT and Corporation Tax
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• The ability to explain complex tax matters in a clear and straightforward way
• Strong communication skills and the confidence to build relationships across the business
• A proactive approach and willingness to challenge existing processes to drive improvements
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities
• Comfortable working independently while collaborating effectively with colleagues and stakeholders

Desirable

• Experience in tax compliance and tax accounting
• Experience gained within an in-house tax team or accountancy practice
• ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CTA or equivalent qualification, or currently studying towards one
• Experience supporting tax projects and process improvement initiatives
• Familiarity with SAP, Power BI, OneSource or similar financial and tax reporting systems
