Tax Analyst

  • Location: Cambridge, United Kingdom
  • Job Type: Full-time, Hybrid (4 days on-site, 1 day remote)
  • Annual Salary: £45,000

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Prepare UK Research & Development Expenditure Credit (RDEC) and Patent Box claims.
  • Collaborate with external advisors to prepare UK and international tax returns.
  • Calculate or review corporate tax payments and ensure timely settlement across the group.
  • Prepare US GAAP tax provisions, including return-to-provision adjustments.
  • Prepare the PAYE Settlement Agreement, CT61, and VAT return, in conjunction with accounting teams.
  • Contribute to ad-hoc tax projects and strategic initiatives as required.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Working towards or recently completed a relevant qualification (e.g., ATT, part-qualified ACA/ACCA/CTA).
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a tax-focused role.
  • Familiarity with tax compliance, reporting, and planning processes.
  • Knowledge of GAAP or IFRS accounting standards.

It would be a plus if you also possess:

  • Some experience in an in-house role.
  • Familiarity with accounting or ERP systems (e.g., Oracle).
