To provide tax advice to high net worth individuals and trustees on particular events or transactions and to deal with associated tax reporting (including 60 day CGT returns, IHT returns, and personal tax returns).

To assist the Partner head and support the Senior Tax Advisor within the team in handling tax work from internal and external sources, and to help develop and generate new work. The role includes business development activities, tax technical, and compliance work. The individual will also support our International Tax Advisory Team on private client tax reporting matters.

Accountabilities

• Tax planning related to income tax, capital gains tax, and inheritance tax, advising personal, trust, and estate tax clients.
• Managing all forms of personal tax reporting, including reviewing work and supervising junior colleagues.
• Developing personal tax work and participating in business development activities.

The candidate

Our ideal candidate will be someone who:

• Is a personal tax advisor capable of advising on income tax, capital gains tax, and inheritance tax;
• Has some knowledge of Trusts;
• Is experienced in all forms of personal tax;
• Holds a formal tax qualification (ideally CTA level);
• Has participated in business development activities;
• Enjoys teamwork and takes initiative;
• Is interested in leveraging technology to improve efficiency in advice and tax compliance.
