We are working with a highly regarded advisory firm looking to appoint an experienced Tax & Accounts Manager to join their well-established private client division. This is a strategic hire for a growing team known for its work with high-net-worth individuals, family-owned enterprises, and international structures.

About the Role:

This role offers a blend of tax compliance, advisory and trust accounting responsibilities, supporting a diverse client base on UK and cross-border matters. The successful individual will work closely with senior leadership and play a key role in managing client relationships, mentoring junior team members, and contributing to business growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a portfolio of private clients, estates, trusts, and family businesses.
  • Prepare complex trust and estate accounts, as well as related tax computations and returns.
  • Provide support on tax planning, compliance, and reporting, including UK and international elements.
  • Liaise directly with clients, intermediaries, and HMRC.
  • Identify tax planning opportunities and support the implementation of bespoke structuring solutions.
  • Oversee and review work prepared by junior staff, supporting their development and technical growth.
  • Contribute to departmental objectives, including profitability, service delivery, and client satisfaction.
  • Assist in maintaining high standards of compliance, ethics, and quality assurance across client work.
Candidate Profile:
  • ATT qualified (or near completion), with further qualifications (CTA, STEP) seen as advantageous.
  • Proven experience in private client tax and trust accounting.
  • Excellent working knowledge of MS Excel and financial reporting tools.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills; able to manage deadlines under pressure.
  • Collaborative and commercially aware, with the ability to support and drive team performance.
  • A proactive and adaptable mindset, comfortable with change and continuous improvement.
