Tax Accountant - Manchester - £45,000 - £60,000 DOE with Great Benefit Package

Marks Sattin are collaborating with a leading infrastructure organisation in Manchester who are looking for a Tax Accountant to join their team. This is a broad and varied role that covers all aspects of tax reporting, compliance, and process improvement. Ideal for someone looking to make an impact in a complex, fast-paced business environment.

The Role

Working as part of a wider finance function, you'll gain exposure across the full tax lifecycle while contributing to strategic projects and transformation initiatives. You'll play a key part in ensuring tax excellence across multiple business units and reporting entities.

Day to Day:

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual tax calculations for multiple entities
  • Support the completion of corporation tax returns
  • Lead on the preparation of quarterly VAT returns
  • Contribute to tax forecasting and strategic planning
  • Assist with the month-end close process, including deferred tax calculations
  • Work closely with auditors, HMRC, and other group tax teams
  • Identify and implement process improvements and internal control enhancements
  • Liaise with stakeholders
  • Ad hoc tasks as required
Key Skills & Qualifications:
  • ACA / ACCA / CTA qualified (or equivalent)
  • Experienced in Direct UK taxes
  • Strong communication skills & be able to engage with stakeholders
  • Effective time management and organisational skills, capable of working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines
