Global Accounting Network are currently partnered with a high-growth, privately owned business based near Heathrow to hire a talented Group Tax Accountant to join their dynamic central finance team. With turnover exceeding £270 million and assets valued at over £1 billion, the business continues to expand and offers long-term career progression, professional development, and the chance to work in a dynamic, commercially driven environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified tax professional to step into a varied Group Tax Accountant role, supporting both VAT and corporate tax functions. You’ll gain broad exposure across a group structure of over 120 companies, take ownership of core tax responsibilities, and play a key part in strengthening tax controls and processes, while working alongside experienced professionals and external advisors.

Skills/experience required:

• Qualified ACA or CTA, or ATT-qualified with strong tax compliance experience
• CTA finalists with practical experience also considered
• Specific VAT experience is essential
• Experience managing large, complex group structures
• Strong accounting knowledge
• Proactive self-starter with the ability to manage workload under pressure
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Main responsibilities:

• Prepare and submit VAT returns
• Oversee VAT, PAYE, and CIS compliance across the group
• Support full tax compliance cycle for UK corporation tax and non-resident landlord returns (circa 120 companies)
• Liaise directly with HMRC on all tax matters
• Prepare tax disclosures for statutory accounts
• Collaborate with central finance and external advisors on projects and transactions
• Strengthen internal tax controls and awareness across the business
• Manage tax risk for the group
