About The Role

We have a great opportunity to join the tax team at TFG London as a Tax Accountant, supporting the finance and tax obligations across our brands, Phase Eight, Whistles, Hobbs Inside Story, and White Stuff. Our brands are growing both in the UK and internationally, and this role is to work with the Head of Tax to ensure the group meets all tax compliance and reporting requirements. You will be responsible for both direct and indirect tax matters and will play a crucial role in enhancing existing processes.

What you will be doing

  1. Overseeing the preparation and submission of UK corporation tax returns and calculating payments on account.
  2. Assisting with group reporting processes, including calculation of tax provisions.
  3. Supporting the Head of Group Tax with tax advice for the business.
  4. Supporting the wider finance team with VAT and other indirect tax queries.
  5. Supporting HMRC tax audits and handling ad-hoc queries from overseas fiscal authorities.
  6. Keeping up to date with tax legislation changes and their implications for the business.
  7. Building relationships with internal stakeholders (finance, treasury, legal) and external stakeholders (HMRC, auditors, tax advisors).

What you will need

  1. Qualified accountant or chartered tax advisor.
  2. Experience in direct tax compliance.
  3. Some exposure to indirect tax/VAT.
  4. In-house experience, ideally in Retail or Consumer Business.
  5. Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  6. Self-motivated with minimal supervision.
