Job description

We’re looking for a Tax Accountant to join our growing Law firm client Central London. This role is part of the Reporting and Analysis group and focuses on the UK tax side of things, including partnership tax, corporate tax, and VAT compliance. You’ll work closely with the Senior Group Tax Manager, the Finance Director, and others to make sure the firm stays on top of its tax obligations - both as a business and on behalf of its partners. It’s a hands-on role where accuracy, organisation, and strong communication skills are key.

This role is a great fit for you if you’ve already got a solid grounding in tax and are looking to build on your experience in a professional services setting. You’ll be involved in preparing tax computations, reviewing partner reserves, and helping coordinate tax payments with advisors. You’ll also help with VAT returns, HMRC reporting, and occasional audits, working with teams both in the UK and internationally. There’s plenty of variety here and room to develop your expertise further.

The wider finance team is around 70 people strong and spread across various offices. You’ll be part of a supportive and knowledgeable team where collaboration is key, and there’s a strong focus on getting things right. While you’ll be expected to manage your own work, you’ll also have people around you to learn from and lean on.

To apply you’ll Ideally be part or fully qualified (CTA, ACA, or ACCA), with experience in tax compliance (especially partnership tax) and a good understanding of international tax issues. If you’re detail-oriented, confident working with Excel, and comfortable talking through complex issues with both colleagues and external advisors, we’d love to hear from you. This is a chance to be part of a respected and growing team, working in a role where your skills will be valued and your work will have real impact.
