Job summary

Tatton Park Group in Knutsford, Cheshire is seeking an experienced Chef to lead day-to-day operations across the Stables Restaurant, Gardener's Cottage and group functions. You will manage a high-volume kitchen, ensure consistent quality and superb customer service, and work to daily sales targets.

The role requires strong leadership of Commis Chefs, Apprentices and Catering Assistants, and a focus on food safety, menu development and cost control in a busy heritage venue.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising a kitchen team (Commis Chefs, Apprentices and Catering Assistants).
• 4 years of hospitality or restaurant management experience.
• Must maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene.
• Able to work in a high-volume catering operation.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations across Stables Restaurant, Gardener's Cottage and group lunches.
• Drive daily sales targets and ensure accurate weekly orders.
• Lead and motivate the kitchen team to deliver 5-star service.
• Maintain high food safety and hygiene standards.

A chef who can produce to a consistent high standard and be confident in all aspects of food preparation, presentation, and service.

Will strive to keep our food safety and hygiene standards high by implementing current legalisation.

Experience: Section leader with the ability to delegate and supervise Commis Chefs, Apprentices, and Catering Assistants.

Be involved in the planning of new dishes and menus.

Help grow and drive a passionate team, lead them to a successful business.

Able to work in a high-volume catering operation.
