Job summary

A leading company in the construction industry is looking for a Taper & Jointer in Brighton. The successful candidate will have experience in plasterboard fitting and a strong work ethic. This is a temporary full-time position requiring the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Must have previous experience as a Taper & Jointer.
• CSCS Ticket desirable but not essential.
• 2 references from previous Taper & Jointer work.

Responsibilities

• Measure and cut plasterboard.
• Fit boards to joists and seal joints.
• Complete additional duties as required by the site manager.

The company:

A well-established national fit out company that focuses on specialized projects within the commercial, education and retail sectors.

The role:

Working as a Taper & Jointer you will be required to measure and cut plasterboard, fitting boards to joists and sealing joints.

About you:

• You will have previous experience in the same role
• You will have your own tools that are 110v.
• You will be conscious of health and safety on site and will be wary of others who are working alongside them.
• You will arrive on time, finish your shift at the times allocated by the site manager and complete additional duties as and when the site manager requires.

To be successful in your application for this role you will have and be able to demonstrate the following skills and attributes:

• 2 References for previous Taper & Jointer work you have completed for contractors.
• You will have a CSCS Ticket desirable but not essential.
• Strong work ethic in a team,
• Be approachable and happy to work as a point of contact when working in a standalone position.
