Job summary

Kemp Recruitment Limited in Leeds is seeking an experienced Tanker Technician to maintain, service and repair tanker trailers and other commercial vehicles in a busy workshop, ensuring safety, compliance and readiness for operation. You'll perform routine inspections, diagnose hydraulic, pneumatic and pumping systems, and complete accurate workshop records.

The role offers Monday–Friday day shifts, permanent contract, ongoing training and real progression opportunities within a well‑established

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Tanker Technician, HGV Technician, Trailer Technician or similar mechanical role.
• Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic and pumping systems is highly desirable.
• Strong mechanical fault-finding and repair skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A positive attitude with a proactive approach to work.
• Full UK Driving Licence is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine inspections, servicing and repairs on tanker trailers.

• Perform preventative maintenance to minimise vehicle downtime.
• Complete repairs to a high standard, ensuring DVSA and company compliance.

• Follow all health and safety procedures while maintaining a clean and organised work environment.

The Role of Tanker Technician

As a Tanker Technician, you'll be responsible for maintaining, servicing and repairing tanker trailers, ensuring they remain safe, compliant and ready for operation.

Duties of the Tanker Technician
