A leading water services company in the UK is seeking a Night Tanker Fleet Team Manager to oversee the Night Vacuum Tanker drivers and manage logistics operations. Our Bioresources team have a vacancy for a Night Tanker Fleet Team Manager. Areas to be managed are in the North Region of the Severn Trent patch. You will be responsible for leading our Night Vacuum Tanker drivers and managing the Bio Resources logistics operations effectively. Your role includes utilizing data to formulate comprehensive plans with the Sludge Planning Office, driving efficiencies, and ensuring compliance with Health and Safety and Legal Driving Time regulations. You'll also be tasked with spearheading continuous improvements and developing transport solutions that prioritize safety, quality, and cost‑effectiveness. Collaboration with various Severn Trent stakeholders to enhance productivity is key, as is representing the company professionally during UK-wide travel and interactions with customers, the public, and colleagues.
In order to succeed in this role, you will need a proven track record of managing a team of up to 20 drivers and their vehicles, ideally within a Vacuum tanker or similar transport operation.
You will need to hold a Transport Manager CPC qualification—National or International—as an entry requirement. Flexibility to adapt to customer requirements and operational demands is essential. You should possess strong analytical and numerical skills, coupled with excellent interpersonal abilities, leadership qualities, and motivational skills. A working knowledge of O-License obligations and the Working Time Directive, as well as experience in stakeholder and customer management, are also crucial to excel in this position.
