Job summary

Quest Waste Management is seeking an experienced Tanker Driver to join our team based in Ossett, working a Friday to Monday shift pattern. You will transport liquid waste safely and efficiently, complying with industry regulations and company procedures.

The role requires a valid HGV Class 1 or 2 licence with up to six penalty points, tachograph card, and Driver CPC card. Training is provided, with a supportive culture and ongoing development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Possession of a valid HGV Class 1 or 2 licence with up to 6 penalty points.
• Tachograph card is required.
• Driver CPC card is required.

Responsibilities

• Drive and operate a range of tanker vehicles (jetting/suction) following training.
• Respond to emergency call-outs for sewer blockages, flooding, and pollution incidents.
• Collect and dispose of controlled and liquid waste in compliance with regulations.
• Adhere to health, safety, and environmental procedures.
• Conduct pre- and post-shift vehicle checks and maintain logs/documentation.
• Ensure PPE is in good condition and properly used.
• Be flexible to take on additional duties when needed.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Tanker Driver to join our team based in Ossett, working a Friday to Monday shift pattern.

In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of liquid waste, ensuring full compliance with industry regulations and company procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive and operate a range of specialist jetting and suction tankers, including Super Suction Jetting Tankers, Combination Jetting Tankers, and vacuum tankers following appropriate training.
• Respond to emergency call-outs, addressing sewer blockages, flooding, and pollution incidents.
• Handle the collection and safe disposal of controlled and liquid waste in compliance with regulations.
• Adhere to statutory health, safety, and environmental procedures.
• Conduct pre-and post-shift vehicle checks to ensure operational compliance.
• Accurately record all job details and maintain proper documentation.
• Ensure that all personal protective equipment (PPE) is in good condition and fit for use.
• Be adaptable and willing to take on additional duties when your vehicle is off the road or when support is needed for other field teams.

Essential

• Possession of a valid HGV Class 1 OR 2 driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points
• Tachograph card (required)
• Driver CPC Card (required)
• Experience operating tankers is advantageous; training can be provided Training or demonstrated competency in areas such as high-pressure jetting, first aid, and manual handling
• Prepared to learn new skills and undertake new activities in line with company growth and personal development with research
