As a Remote Interpreter, you will facilitate communication between clients and individuals with limited English proficiency, working remotely from your own location. Your role involves providing interpreting services over the phone or via video calls, accurately and efficiently supporting various professional settings.

The Job

• Interpreting between English and your native language over the phone or video calls.
• Providing interpretation services to clients with limited English proficiency.
• Interpreting for legal, health, and local government services.
• Checking understanding with non-English speakers after each sentence.
• Conducting conference, consecutive, and public service interpreting.
• Providing accurate, confidential, and impartial interpreting services.
• Maintaining confidentiality and adhering to the Code of Conduct.

• Fluent in English and another language.

• You must be aged 21 or over.
• Qualifications such as:
  • Diploma in Public Service Interpreting (DPSI)
  • Community Interpreting
  • NRPSI, CIOL, ITI registration (advantageous)
  • Degree in Translation/Interpreting/Languages
