NHS Talking Therapies High Intensity Therapist (CBT) - Band 7

Full Time 37.5 hours per week (Hybrid post based in Nuneaton/Rugby)

We have an exciting opportunity for a Hi Intensity CBT practitioner who is skilled in providing effective, evidence-based interventions to individuals experiencing symptoms of anxiety and depression. We would particularly welcome interest from therapists who can demonstrate previous experience of working within diverse populations in a primary care setting.

This person would be joining the Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Talking Therapies service. The service is delivered by Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership Trust, in collaboration with Coventry and Warwickshire MIND, and offers a variety of support and psychological therapies to the Coventry, Warwickshire and Solihull adult population. Our interventions are diverse and evidence based, ranging from guided self-help and face-to-face or video therapy, telephone support to workshops and courses. We have exciting opportunities within our expanding Perinatal and Long Term Conditions pathways and ongoing training and development opportunities as our service continues to grow.

Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust (CWPT) provides a full range of expanding physical, mental health and learning disability services to children, young adults, adults and older adults over many sites across Coventry, Warwickshire and Solihull.

Job responsibilities

The posts will be suitable for qualified NHS Talking Therapies High Intensity Practitioners, or Qualified CBT Therapists.

Full BABCP accreditation is essential for this position.

Enthusiasm, confidence and the ability to work flexibly and without close direction are essential. Person Specification
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Qualification from High Intensity IAPT Course (Post Graduate Diploma in CBT) or equivalent
  • Equivalent: eg. a recorded / registered qualification in one of the following - mental health nursing, social work, occupational therapy, arts therapy or a psychological therapy - plus further post graduate qualification training in CBT BABCP Accredited
  • significant experience working as a psychological therapy practitioner and demonstrating the competences as required.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
  • Full range of skills and competencies as laid out in the competence framework for CBT (Roth and Pilling 2007)
  • Has received training (either formal of through experience) and carried out risk assessments within scope of practice
EXPERIENCE
  • Demonstrable experience of working in mental health services
  • Demonstrates high standards in written communication
  • Experience with routine outcome monitoring
Other
  • Driver with access to independent means of transport
