Join us as a Talking Therapies and Outpatient Administrator – £27,000 (depending on experience)

We are looking for a dedicated and proactive Administratorto become the heart of our Talking Therapies and Outpatient Services team. If you’re looking for more meaning and variety than your average admin role—this is your opportunity to be the first point of contact for people reaching out for mental health support, and help transform lives every day.

This is a unique chance to be part of a growing service, supporting both therapists and psychiatrists in delivering timely, effective care to those who need it most. What You’ll Do:
  • Act as the first, friendly point of contact for clients seeking emotional wellbeing support.

  • Provide outstanding administrative support to our team of therapists, psychiatrists, and service leads.

  • Coordinate referrals and manage incoming enquiries with professionalism and care.

  • Maintain and update clinical records, appointment systems, and waiting lists accurately and confidentially.

  • Liaise with GPs, external agencies, and patients to ensure smooth and timely access to our services.

  • Manage therapist and consultant diaries, ensuring seamless scheduling and communication.

  • Support data collection and service audits to improve patient outcomes and national reporting standards.

  • Be adaptable—providing additional support across departments as the service continues to grow.

What You’ll Need:

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Strong administrative background with exceptional organisational skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital systems.

  • A confident, compassionate telephone manner.

  • Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.

  • A high standard of written and verbal communication.

  • Commitment to confidentiality, professionalism, and continuous learning.

Desirable:

  • Experience in healthcare, mental health services, or counselling environments.

  • Understanding of Talking Therapies or IAPT service models.

  • Prior NHS or medical admin experience.

Qualifications:
  • Good general education.

  • Comfortable with a range of IT and data entry systems.

  • A willingness to grow professionally with training and support.

Working Hours:
