Job description

Our time is NOW.

ERM, the world's largest pure play sustainability consultancy, is keen to connect with experienced EIA professionals at Senior, Managing, and Principal Consultant levels. This advert is not for a current live job; it is an opportunity to connect, learn more about each other, and stay in touch regarding future opportunities.

These roles are in our Onshore Renewables & Infrastructure team within Capital Project Delivery. The team is based across England, Scotland, Wales, and the Republic of Ireland. If this interests you for the future, we'd love to hear from you.

In these roles, you will provide expert environmental consultancy services to internal and external clients, and lead the work of less experienced team members. You’ll lead environmental inputs for planning applications, including screening, scoping, environmental appraisals, large-scale EIA projects, and post-planning condition discharge.

You will project manage complex projects such as onshore wind, solar, battery storage, and grid connection. Occasionally, you’ll collaborate with our marine team on offshore projects, developing your skills in this area.

You’ll navigate projects through licensing and consenting processes, including DCO and S36, provide strategic advice to clients, and ensure projects are delivered on schedule and within budget. You will maintain and grow existing client relationships and develop new business opportunities, representing the company at meetings, conferences, and events.

Why join ERM?

We offer flexible working arrangements to suit your life, including options for remote work, travel, and work-life balance. Benefits include 25 days of annual leave plus public holidays, a 6% employer pension contribution, opportunities for promotion and salary reviews, performance bonuses, private medical insurance, life assurance, income protection, EV car salary sacrifice scheme, Cycle2Work scheme, travel season ticket loans, volunteering opportunities, wellbeing resources, and discounts on various services and products.

We foster a safety-first, diverse, and inclusive culture that values and celebrates differences. Through the ERM Foundation, we support nonprofits and social enterprises committed to sustainability and equity. With a robust career framework and over 20 technical communities of global experts, ERM offers excellent opportunities for career advancement.
