Talent Partner (Operations & Customer Success)

Fixed term contract

Hybrid in London or Leeds, United Kingdom

The company

Imagine a world where every small business has the power to thrive. That's the world we're building at iwoca. Small businesses aren't just statistics - they're the heartbeat of our communities, the character of our high streets, and the engine of our economy. Since 2012, we've revolutionised how these businesses access finance, turning what was once a lengthy, frustrating process into something remarkable: funding that's fast, flexible, and actually works for modern businesses.

Our impact speaks for itself: we've provided billions in funding to more than 150,000 businesses across Europe, making us one of the continent's leading fintech innovators. But we're just getting started. Our mission? To empower one million businesses with the financial tools they deserve.

We combine cutting-edge technology and data science with genuine human understanding to make finance feel less like a barrier and more like a superpower. Whether it's managing cash flow or seizing unexpected opportunities, we ensure businesses get the funds they need - often within minutes.

The role

We are looking for an experienced Talent Partner to join our People Operations team. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract.

The role will include:

  1. Full life cycle recruitment for our UK Operations teams, hiring in high volumes for roles such as Account Managers, Credit Analysts, Collections Managers, FinCrime Analysts, and more. Responsibilities include managing the end-to-end recruitment process: salary benchmarking, candidate sourcing, screening interviews, tech tests, interviews, debriefs, offers, negotiations, acceptance, and pre-onboarding. You will collect and share feedback at each stage.
  2. Stakeholder partnership: Collaborating with hiring managers and senior leaders to understand job needs, write job descriptions, advise on the best hiring strategies, and ensure smooth interview processes for both the hiring team and candidates.
  3. Improving processes: Regularly reviewing and refining recruitment methods, using data to confirm techniques that boost efficiency, minimize bias, and enhance the candidate experience.

The team

The People Operations team's mission is to help iwoca attract, develop, and retain top talent. There are six other Talent Partners in our recruitment team. We use tools like Ashby, LinkedIn Recruiter, and Otta to source talent and manage pipelines. We're progressive, innovative, data-driven, and always pushing for higher standards in measurable ways.

The requirements

We need candidates with:

  • A strong background in full life-cycle recruitment for customer operations, with a proven ability to hire great candidates at high volumes and a rapid pace.
  • Emotional intelligence; asking insightful questions, listening carefully, showing empathy, and building good relationships with candidates and stakeholders.
  • Highly organized, pragmatic, and able to prioritize effectively.
  • Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), ideally Ashby.
  • Ability to identify better sourcing methods, testing and learning new approaches with patience and flexibility.

The salary

We expect to pay from £45,000 to £60,000 for this role. Please include your salary expectations in your application. We benchmark salaries regularly and conduct quarterly reviews.

The culture

At iwoca, we prioritize a culture of learning, growth, and support, investing in our team members' professional development. We value diversity in thought and skill and encourage exploration of new areas to foster innovation.

The offices

We have offices in London, Leeds, and Frankfurt with amenities like drinks and snacks. We also host events and clubs such as bingo, quiz nights, yoga, and football.

The benefits

  • Flexible working hours
  • Medical insurance from Vitality, including gym discounts
  • Private GP service for you, your partner, and dependents
  • 25 days' holiday, plus extra days for your birthday and options to buy or sell additional leave, plus unpaid leave
  • A fully paid one-month sabbatical after four years
  • Access to external counselling and therapy
  • 3% pension contributions
  • Employee equity scheme
  • Parental leave and nursery schemes
  • Electric car and cycle-to-work schemes
  • Biannual company retreats in various countries
