Job Summary:
Position Summary

We are seeking a Talent Manager who embodies the innovative spirit and collaborative mindset that define ILM.

The Talent Manager will oversee the management of ILM artists within their designated departments. This role involves collaboration with Producers, Studio Production Managers, and other stakeholders to schedule artists, ensuring effective casting and timely project completion.

The Talent Manager promotes a positive studio culture by leading with clarity, integrity, and purpose.

What You’ll Do:
  1. Manage a portfolio of artists, including operational support, absence management, compensation, career development, contract extensions, and project opportunities.
  2. Collaborate with Heads of Department on casting, artist development, performance reviews, and departmental initiatives.
  3. Work with the Studio Production Manager to understand capacity, plan workloads, and optimize artist utilization.
  4. Communicate proactively with show leadership and creative teams regarding project needs, crewing, milestones, and potential challenges.
  5. Partner with Recruitment and Production teams to define and communicate ongoing hiring needs.
  6. Coordinate with HR to maintain employee engagement strategies and address employee relations issues.
What We’re Looking For:
  1. Experience in artist or resource management within post-production, visual effects, animation, or gaming.
  2. Strong relationship-building skills based on trust and respect.
  3. Proactive problem-solving skills with the ability to create processes and analyze data amid ambiguity.
  4. Calm, collaborative attitude with excellent communication skills adaptable to different audiences.
  5. Critical thinking and inquisitiveness to ask the right questions and provide solutions.

This role is Hybrid, requiring a minimum of 2 days per week on-site at a designated location, with occasional remote work.
