About the Company

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a People Partner with a specific focus on Talent Acquisition to work closely with the Head of People. You will bring a marketing edge to attracting high talent into the business and partner with all managers across the community in supporting the execution of our strategy for how we attract, hire, and onboard new people during an exciting period of change. You will play an essential role in advancing a more diverse, accessible, equitable, and inclusive organisation through inclusive practices.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities:

  • In liaison with the marketing team, ensure the positive promotion of the organisation as an employer of choice.
  • Actively promote information on our website and other communication tools, sharing details about the organisation, and leveraging social media.
  • Highlight aspects like work-life balance, exciting events, and real-life experiences from current employees.
  • Partner with managers, advise and agree on recruitment approaches, and oversee candidate care throughout the selection process.
  • Review and edit job advertisements to ensure they reflect our culture and brand.
  • Support new hires post-interview and ensure they are effectively integrated into the organisation, providing access to resources and ensuring a smooth transition.
  • Lead on effective onboarding to set a positive tone for new employees.
  • Oversee the UK visa sponsorship system for new recruits and ensure expiry dates for employees on time-limited visas are managed.
  • Ensure new hires are paid accurately and on time, coordinating the monthly payroll checking process with the external payroll provider and finance colleagues.
  • Optimize job listings to attract qualified candidates who align with the company culture.
  • Lead hiring processes across the organisation.
  • Undertake analytical job evaluations as needed, referring to external consultants when appropriate.

Required Skills

Candidates must have experience with ITrent and in Higher Education.
