Job summary

Wood Mackenzie in the United Kingdom seeks a Talent Development Lead to partner with function leaders to build capabilities and drive sustainable performance. You will use learning needs analysis, succession data and engagement feedback to prioritise gaps and design solutions with SMEs, external partners and the wider team.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary talent development partner for assigned business areas.
  • Align development priorities with business strategy and workforce needs.
  • Conduct learning needs analysis and use talent insights to inform interventions.
  • Support succession planning, career mobility and talent movement activities.
  • Design, source and implement learning solutions that address capability requirements.
  • Deliver and facilitate learning interventions that support business performance.
  • Lead implementation of Manager Fundamentals and other manager development initiatives.
  • Promote AI capability building and support adoption of AI-enabled ways of working.
  • Build trusted partnerships with senior stakeholders.
  • Drive accountability for agreed development actions and commitments.
  • Manage external suppliers and subject matter experts where required.
  • Ensure learning resources and LMS content remain relevant, accessible and current.
  • Monitor programme effectiveness and business impact.
  • Report progress and results using measurable performance indicators rather than activity metrics alone.
  • Deliver and facilitate learning sessions that support business performance.

Role Purpose

The Talent Development Lead enables colleagues to build the capabilities required to deliver sustainable business performance. Acting as the primary talent development partner for an assigned function or segment, the role works closely with Strategic HR Business Partners and business leaders to identify capability priorities, shape development solutions and drive measurable organisational outcomes.

Using talent insights, learning needs analysis, succession planning data and engagement feedback, the role determines priority capability gaps and designs, sources and delivers solutions that support business objectives. The role collaborates with subject matter experts, the wider Talent Development team and external partners to deliver impactful learning experiences and development programmes.

What You'll Do
Strategic Talent Development
