A US law firm is seeking a Talent Development Manager to join its London office and support its US Capital Markets practice.
The position combines staffing, workload management and career development with a strong emphasis on pastoral care. A key part of the role will be acting as the first point of contact for associates to discuss workload balance, progression and development opportunities. You will also oversee review processes, contribute to training and induction programmes, and support recruitment of both trainees and lateral hires. You will also play a central role in recruitment for the team, including summer associate and LLM hiring from US law schools, as well as global lateral hires.
The firm is looking for a lawyer with at least five years’ PQE, ideally from a US capital markets practice, who is interested in moving into a people-focused role. Strong interpersonal skills and an organised, proactive approach are essential.
