Sandberg Translation Partners is seeking a Talent Development Coordinator to join our dynamic Talent Development team to build and maintain outstanding relationships with our global pool of freelance translators. We are an international translation service provider headquartered in the UK and this position would be remotely based. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain training and experience in vendor management in a highly sought-after international company.

Your role as a Talent Development Coordinator will be to recruit and select talented, qualified linguists to join our translator talent pool and to manage and develop long-lasting relationships with these suppliers.

The translation industry’s landscape is ever evolving, and market needs are constantly adapting. Alongside your colleagues in the Talent Development team, you will be responsible for ensuring that the skills and experience in our talent pool keep pace with these needs and the company’s developing business requirements.

Areas of responsibility
  • Recruitment, selection and management of qualified vendors (translators as well as suppliers for other service types such as SEO, creative writing, AI training, or any other new service that Sandberg wishes to develop, to consistently meet the company’s business requirements);
  • Vendor rate negotiation and management;
  • Development and documentation of vendor agreements and workflows;
  • Vendor performance tracking, QA management and reporting;
  • Support to project management and sales teams to resource projects;
  • Resourcing and maintenance of client-specific approved vendor lists;
  • Maintenance of excellent relationships with vendors;
  • Proactively identifying and solving resource-related production problems;
  • Planning of processes, systems and training to optimise team workflows, skillsets and efficiency;
  • Data-driven reporting and demonstrable success against KPIs;
  • Use of a variety of professional tools, including our translation business management software.

Expected skills and experience
  • University degree, preferably in translation studies, linguistics or language studies ;
  • Knowledge of the translation and localisation industry;
  • 0-3 years of Project Management, Vendor Management, Translation or other relevant experience in the localisation industry;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English;
  • Understanding of translation environments and tools;
  • Understanding of machine translation and AI, and their impact on businesses and vendors;
  • Excellent presentation and negotiation skills;
  • Energetic and positive attitude with excellent interpersonal skills;
  • Proven abilities in planning, resource and risk management;
  • Problem-solving capabilities, proactivity and flexibility;
  • Result and customer-oriented attitude;
  • Ability to establish credibility and be decisive;
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines under pressure;
  • Ability to organise, prioritise and multi-task, meet tight deadlines; effective time management;
  • Advanced MS Office skills are an advantage;
  • Knowledge of other languages is an advantage.

Working hours: This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday. Start times between 08.00–09.00 and end times between 16.30–17.30 UK time (with flexibility to fit individual circumstances).
