Job summary

HPRtalent is seeking a Talent & Capability Specialist in Swindon on a 12-month fixed-term contract. The role focuses on building a business-wide skills and capability framework and creating clear career pathways.

You will work with leaders, managers and SMEs to understand current and future needs and to translate them into practical development actions. The successful candidate will lead the integration of skills, learning, performance and talent data within a new HRIS, delivering measurable

Qualifications

• Experience developing or contributing to a skills, competency or capability framework.
• Experience mapping organisational capability and identifying skills gaps.
• Experience creating learning or career development pathways.
• Exposure to HRIS implementation or significant HR system enhancement.
• Confidence working with people data to generate insights.
• Experience partnering with leaders and SME to understand capability requirements.
• Understanding of talent, succession, career development or workforce planning.

Responsibilities

• Own evolving skills and capability agenda, working with leaders, managers and SMEs.
• Develop and embed a consistent skills and capability framework across the business.
• Create a clear skills taxonomy and common language across functions, roles and levels.
• Map current capability and identify critical or emerging skills gaps.
• Build career and development pathways to support progression.
• Connect role requirements, learning and workplace application within the HRIS.
• Provide insights from capability data to leaders.
• Create practical tools and guidance for managers' development conversations.
• Support capability development across leadership, comms, collaboration and strategic thinking.
• Collaborate with internal and external providers to deliver learning solutions.
• Measure whether learning translates into improved capability and performance.
