Your Role

We are seeking an experienced Talent and Engagement Manager to join our People Team. You should have a genuine passion and drive to seek out the best talent in the industry and experience working closely with Operations teams to support growth pipelines both externally and internally. You will have a strong track record in building a compelling EVP and supporting our brand to attract and retain top talent.

Your Responsibilities
  • Define and manage a dynamic recruitment strategy to meet the talent needs across all our restaurants, current and future.
  • Proactively and reactively source, screen, and interview management roles (including head office) and support restaurants with junior roles if needed.
  • Develop creative recruitment solutions to attract top talent at all levels.
  • Research and identify innovative resources to diversify talent pools.
  • Manage our ATS system, including drafting, updating, and posting job adverts, managing onboarding documents, and ensuring compliance with UK law.
  • Coordinate internal assessment days for promotions and provide development feedback to candidates.
  • Provide recruitment reports, analysis, and insights to leadership, along with recommendations for improvement.
  • Deliver recruitment and onboarding training to management teams.
  • Organize open days and recruitment strategies for new openings.
  • Monitor management turnover and performance against targets.
  • Collaborate on succession planning with operations and HR teams.
  • Maintain a strong EVP by promoting benefits, working with marketing on social media exposure, and implementing initiatives to attract and retain talent.
  • Oversee benefits administration, holiday reporting, company calendar, and employee recognition initiatives.
  • Lead onboarding for new hires and promote team engagement via Workvivo, highlighting benefits and upcoming events.
Your Experience and Skills
  • Previous recruitment experience in the hospitality sector, managing end-to-end processes, ATS systems, and EVP development.
  • Strong relationship-building skills across teams and external partners.
  • Excellent negotiation and influencing skills, with the ability to find quick solutions.
  • Creative and adaptable mindset to challenge the status quo in a dynamic market.
  • Experience working at Blacklock or similar venues is a plus.
