The Role

Forbes Solicitors LLP are seeking a Talent and Development Coordinator to join our Award Winning People team at our Walton Summit Office. This role is full time, working 36.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

The Talent and Development Coordinator will play a key role in supporting the Firm’s recruitment process and employee development initiatives. This role will be responsible for coordinating end-to-end recruitment activities, including onboarding and early careers programmes, and providing administrative and data support across the firms learning and development systems.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for achieving successful outcomes such as:

  • Coordinate the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle across the firm, ensuring timely and efficient delivery;
  • Act as the primary point of contact for candidates and hiring managers to deliver a professional service;
  • Manage and maintain the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and recruitment records, ensuring accuracy and compliance;
  • Support the onboarding process by coordinating documentation, inductions, and system access for new hires;
  • Coordinate and support the Graduate Recruitment team with early careers and graduate recruitment by supporting trainee and apprenticeship schemes;
  • Provide logistical support for Learning and Development (L&D) programmes, including booking venues, coordinating materials, managing virtual platforms, and tracking attendance;
  • Promote internal learning resources, including the learning hub and wider development initiatives;
  • Maintain accurate learning and development records and generate insights from feedback and engagement data;
  • Assist in the creation and evaluation of L&D data KPIs and reporting ROI to inform programme effectiveness;
  • Maintain and report on the department’s balanced scorecard to track progress against talent and development KPIs;
  • Support the coordination of the Performance Development Review (PDR) process and related analytics to support the Firms talent and succession planning;
  • Support in the identification and development of the Firm’s wider EVP.

The Person

We will be progressing applicants to the next stage based on their demonstrated knowledge, experience, and skills in:

  • Have 5 GCSEs at Grades 4 9, including English and Maths (or equivalent);
  • Previous experience in a coordination, administrative, or support role;
  • Previous experience working on admin based IT systems, i.e. data inputting;
  • Demonstrates a good understanding of Microsoft Office Applications and other admin based systems;
  • Demonstrates excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines;
  • Demonstrates excellent attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping and reporting;
  • Demonstrates good communication skills, both written and verbal;
  • Demonstrates a proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to learn;
  • Demonstrates the ability to work within a team;
  • Demonstrates a good aptitude in dealing with data, and the ability to interpret and present insights/reports effectively;
  • Aligns with the Firms values;
  • Previous experience in a recruitment, HR, or L&D roles;
  • Experience with an ATS or L&D platform;
