The Role

The Talent Advisor is a hybrid senior recruiter/advisory role, with 70% of their time aligned to recruitment delivery of volume or non-volume requisitions (may cover both in some locations), 20% to advisory support and 10% to other ad hoc activities. Talent Advisors will act as the onsite face of AMS and will own some key client relationships in areas across the business, likely those requiring high-touch relationship management, or those of strategic importance.

You will provide strategic and advisory support to client hiring managers and local client HR/Resourcing teams, utilising your expertise to help them get the right hiring outcomes. You will have specialised knowledge of local recruitment practices and the client's business area. This will include recommending approaches and leading constructive discussions when confronted with barriers to hiring, such as talent availability or market expectations, including the effective utilisation of Insights to drive appropriate outcomes.

You will support client hiring managers with filling their vacancies to target start dates, ensuring all quality thresholds, SLA's and KPIs are met, alongside effective utilisation of the ATS, all underpinned by strict process adherence to drive process compliance. You will deliver excellent recruitment services to the client, acting as the custodian of candidate quality and the hiring manager experience and will manage the end-to-end recruitment process, working as a team with sourcing and administration colleagues, utilising relevant recruitment technology applications.

Key Accountabilities

What you'll be doing:

Strategic Support and Client Advisory

  • Create and maintain trusted partner relationships with hiring managers and act as a strategic partner and advisor regarding the sourcing and recruitment process
  • Develop end-to-end recruitment campaign strategies and develop and manage the talent pipeline
  • Provide strategic support to the wider client business as required, to drive awareness of internal mobility, referral and non-permanent hiring, diversity and inclusion, etc
  • Deliver market intelligence and insight to hiring community and HR stakeholders, including salary benchmarking, internal and external supply and demand, assessment approaches to support decision making
  • Share best practice approaches and client culture with other members of the talent team, supporting them in achieving success in their role

Recruitment Delivery

  • Ensure the recruitment service is delivered in line with contractual obligations and client service level agreements
  • Lead vacancy consultation discussions in partnership the sourcer to agree recruitment plans with hiring managers and document outcomes of the intake meeting. Agree with hiring manager on role requirements, sourcing strategy, pay range, agreed timeframes, roles and responsibilities of all involved, and the selection process
  • Support the hiring manager with hiring decisions and guide them in determining an appropriate offer
  • Manage the offer process and close the candidate - broker the offer with the chosen candidate, manage objections/negotiations and support the candidate during their notice period

Technology and Compliance

  • Ensure all AMS and client systems are updated in a correct and timely manner
  • Make full use of available automations.
  • Compliantly identify and track risks in line with the overall AMS Risk Management Framework

Other Stakeholder Relationships

  • Deliver excellent, comprehensive candidate experience and manage their satisfaction with the recruitment experience from initial interview to start date
  • Collaborate effectively with the Sourcing and Administration teams to ensure a smooth client and candidate experience. Mentor them on best practice approaches and client culture, supporting them in achieving success in their roles
  • Flag continuous improvement and upselling opportunities to Client Services Manager (or Talent Business Partner), including opportunities for process improvement, service enhancement, related strategic projects and increasing the scope of the service. Support account contractual management by identifying and flagging scope creep

You'll need to demonstrate:

Must haves

  • Enthusiasm to deliver a best-in-class, innovative and experience-focused service for the client, candidates and hiring managers
  • Demonstrable mastery in recruiting techniques
  • Ability to position and solve issues for senior clients and can manage their expectations; can influence them to take a course of action, change their assumptions or make compromises between quality and speed of hires and handles challenging conversations with confidence
  • Ability and willingness to learn new processes, including both contingent and permanent hiring
  • Demonstrable subject matter expertise and commercial acumen, understands the client's business and talent strategies, and how these elements influence AMS service delivery, the client's brand perception, and knows competitors and local recruitment practices, being able to use market intelligence and analyse market trends to provide insights to clients
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build long-lasting relationships with candidates, clients and colleagues
  • Experience of behavioural / competency-based interviewing
  • Experience of managing candidates through the recruitment process remotely or in-house setting (including experience running open days or assessment centres if volume hiring)

Nice to have

  • Experience working within a highly complex or matrixed organisation
  • Knowledge of both permanent and contingent hiring delivery
  • Willing to travel to client locations for meetings, hiring events and training, aligning our commitment of our recruitment teams being onsite, supporting to drive effective relationships and partnerships
