Purpose of Role
This role is responsible for managing the end-to-end recruitment process for Principal recruitment, ensuring a seamless experience for both candidates and hiring managers. The role involves collaborating with marketing on recruitment campaigns, directly sourcing and screening candidates, managing agency relationships, and recruiting Spanish-speaking teachers. It also includes tracking hiring progress, preparing reports, coordinating interviews, and ensuring compliance with safer recruitment practices. Additionally, the role requires supporting strategic talent acquisition projects, leveraging data insights, and aligning recruitment efforts across regions to optimise hiring outcomes and drive the organisation's Referral Programme.
Talent Acquisition Specialist (Academic)
- Manage non-executive agency relationships in conjunction with the International Talent Manager (ITM).
- Work with the ITM to understand the job specifications and specific qualifications required to create an attractive and robust attraction strategy to attract high-calibre Principal candidates and Spanish-speaking teachers.
- Build and maintain a continual pipeline of quality Principal and Spanish-speaking teachers through our ATS, LinkedIn Recruiter, and other creative sourcing methods.
- Directly source, screen, and share suitable candidates with hiring managers, ensuring safer recruitment practices are in place from the very first interaction.
- Develop new and innovative approaches to attract and engage with quality candidates using a variety of creative sourcing and networking tools.
- Proactively drive the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle for candidates using our applicant tracking system, updating recruitment workflows, and keeping candidates warm.
- Conduct initial screening calls with prospective candidates via Microsoft Teams.
- Work with the ITM to plan, organise, and deliver Recruitment Events.
- Collaborate with the ITM to implement employer branding for Recruitment Fairs.
- Collaborate with marketing on weekly social media posts for current hot roles.
- Provide weekly reports of all academic hiring.
- Take briefings with the ITM for all Principal and Spanish Academic Roles.
- Create, share, and deliver a hiring proposal for each Principal role, including timelines for the first batch of CVs, hiring manager feedback, and interview dates.
- Update shared live tracker for each role with the hiring manager, ITM, and Head of Global TA.
- Manage candidate rejections and feedback.
- Support the Global Head of TA on Strategic Projects.
- Adopt a data-driven approach to hiring, utilising LITalent Insights.
- Join weekly meetings with Regional Recruitment Managers/Heads of HR, aligning hiring strategy and offering support where needed.
- Manage LinkedIn promoted job slots for academic roles, prioritising critical roles across the group.
- Ensure all hiring managers have completed safer recruitment training and at least one interviewer has an up-to-date certificate.
- Keep hiring managers and candidates updated throughout the interview process to ensure a seamless experience for both.
- Coordinate interviews for hiring managers, ITM, and the Head of Global TA, stepping in as an interviewer when required.
- Be an integral part of the Talent Team and assist with ad hoc tasks, including but not limited to academic recruitment.
Skills, Qualifications, and Experience
- Minimum of 5 years recruiting experience.
- Proficient in the use of LinkedIn Recruiter, particularly for headhunting talent.
- End-to-end recruitment experience including high-volume activity and tight deadlines.
- Demonstrable experience in coordination and diary management, time management, and organisational skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to effectively interact and collaborate with regional teams, school senior leadership teams, and colleagues to establish trust, respect, and confidence.
- Experience in K-12 International Education.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Experience with employment branding, innovative sourcing strategies, and building a robust pipeline of diverse talent is desirable.
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and flexible with a positive approach to both work and mindset.
- Attention to detail.
- Working knowledge of ATS/CRMs.
