We are looking for an experienced Talent Acquisition Specialist to deliver a high-quality recruitment service across the business. Working closely with the Talent Acquisition Manager, hiring managers and People team colleagues, you will manage vacancies from initial brief through to offer, helping us attract and secure the right people for our UK sites and functions.
This is a hands‑on role with a strong focus on direct sourcing, candidate experience and practical hiring manager support. Alongside delivering recruitment, you will build talent pipelines, share market insight and contribute to attraction initiatives and projects that improve how we recruit.
What you’ll do
- Manage an assigned portfolio of vacancies from recruitment brief through to offer, providing a responsive and professional service.
- Partner with hiring managers to understand their requirements, constructively challenge briefs and agree effective recruitment approaches.
- Directly source candidates through relevant channels, networks, databases and social media, building pipelines for recurring and hard‑to‑fill roles.
- Create engaging adverts, screen candidates and provide high-quality shortlists to support effective selection decisions.
- Guide hiring managers on interview approaches and selection tools, promoting consistent, fair and inclusive recruitment.
- Keep candidates informed throughout the process, coordinating offers and outcomes in a timely and professional way.
- Maintain accurate recruitment records, follow agreed processes and support effective use of approved recruitment agencies.
- Share market intelligence and recruitment data, and contribute to attraction projects, tools and continuous improvement.
What you’ll bring
- Strong end‑to‑end recruitment experience, with proven capability in directly sourcing candidates.
- Experience of taking recruitment briefs, advertising vacancies, screening candidates and supporting interview and offer processes.
- A track record of attracting candidates for specialist or hard‑to‑fill roles.
- The ability to build credible relationships, advise hiring managers and adapt your communication to different audiences.
- Strong organisation, resilience and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple vacancies and competing priorities.
- A proactive approach to solving problems and the confidence to work independently within agreed frameworks.
- A driving licence and willingness to travel nationally when required, including occasional overnight stays.
It would be great if you also have
- Experience gained in manufacturing, construction, engineering or building materials.
- Experience of applicant tracking systems, recruitment marketing tools and social sourcing platforms.
- A CIPD or recognised recruitment qualification.
