Job Description

This exciting role will oversee the Talent Acquisition function by developing and implementing innovative recruitment strategies that deliver best-in-class service to both candidates and hiring managers. This role is responsible for the full end-to-end recruitment lifecycle, and oversees all recruitment data and insights, and partners with stakeholders across the business to ensure current and future talent needs are met effectively.

The role holder needs to be different things to different people and key to your success is building strong internal relationships across the Group. We are seeking an ambitious and customer centric individual to join our team. It is desirable that you are CIPD qualified to level 5/7 standard and that you have at multiple years’ experience of working in the Talent and Acquisition area. You will need to demonstrate a strong track-record of recruiting and attracting the best candidates. With the strong growth that Wavenet is experiencing, you’ll need to have the ability to multi-task and work to tight deadlines.

Responsibilities:

  • Leading the TA strategy in alignment with Wavenet’s business goals, ensuring the organisation attracts and hires top-tier talent.
  • Managing the full recruitment lifecycle from vacancy approval to onboarding, delivering a seamless and professional experience for all stakeholders.
  • Undertaking recruitment projects including proactive candidate searches utilising tools available.
  • Analysing data and headcount planning, ensuring effective forecasting, tracking, and reporting.
  • Providing expert guidance and hands-on support to hiring managers throughout the recruitment process, including workforce planning, sourcing strategies, and interview best practice.
  • Designing and optimising recruitment processes, ensuring compliance with policy, GDPR, right to work checks, and audit standards.
  • Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders to understand hiring needs and future workforce plans.
  • Creating and delivering monthly Talent Acquisition dashboards and strategic reports for the HR Director and senior leadership.
  • Developing and executing innovative sourcing strategies to ensure a strong talent pipeline using a variety of sourcing tools and methods.
  • Monitoring and analysing recruitment metrics (time to hire, quality of hire, source of hire, candidate/hiring manager satisfaction) and using insights to continuously improve performance.
  • Managing relationships with external recruitment partners and negotiating commercial terms when needed.
  • Leading the development and maintenance of Wavenet’s employer branding efforts, job adverts, and social media presence.
  • Representing Wavenet at internal and external careers and recruitment events across sites when required.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical capability and attention to detail.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to balance tactical delivery.
  • Confident working independently and making decisions within a framework.
  • Strong organisation and prioritisation skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, ATS platforms (ideally Smart Recruiters) and recruitment technologies.
  • Creative problem-solving and solution-oriented mindset.
  • High level of integrity and discretion when handling confidential information.
  • CIPD Level 5 advantageous
