Job description

We are currently recruiting for a Talent Acquisition & Development Manager to join the HR Team at Nationwide Platforms.

Role Overview

As the Talent Acquisition and Development Manager, you will lead efforts in attracting, developing, and retaining top talent. Responsibilities include designing recruitment strategies, enhancing employee development programs, and aligning talent initiatives with the organisation’s goals and culture.

Benefits

In return, you will receive a salary up to £65,000 DOE, a Company Car or Cash Allowance of £8,750, 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, an Auto Enrolment Pension scheme, BUPA Medical Care, Life Assurance, and Lifestyle benefits including discounts on selected high street stores.

Location

Frequent travel is required; the ideal candidate must be located near major motorway networks M4, M6, M40, M1.

Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement effective talent acquisition strategies to attract high-quality candidates across all levels.
  2. Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates through various channels for common and difficult-to-fill roles.
  3. Collaborate with HR and department leaders to align talent strategies with business goals.
  4. Design, implement, and evaluate training and development programs supporting employee growth and organisational objectives.
  5. Lead succession planning and career development strategies to retain top performers.
  6. Develop and deliver Employer Branding and Positioning strategies to increase candidate attraction and brand awareness.
  7. Develop assessment and profiling tools at the job family level.
  8. Work with HR Business Partners on onboarding and induction procedures to improve productivity and reduce short-term voluntary turnover.
Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will be able to understand business performance, anticipate future requirements, and develop manpower plans. Experience in sales or a commercial environment, with strong tactical resourcing and recruitment skills—especially within a blue-collar context—is essential. Proven success in sourcing passive candidates through multiple channels and familiarity with direct sourcing strategies are also required.
