Job summary

ASOS is seeking a passionate Tailoring Designer for the Topshop Design team to lead the creative vision for Tailoring. You will translate trends into distinctive collections, collaborate with Buying, Technical, and Product Development, and deliver commercially successful ranges across tailored separates and wardrobe essentials.

The role combines fashion relevance with commercial success in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, with opportunity to influence product direction and brand

Qualifications

  • Tailoring design experience in a fast-paced fashion retailer or contemporary brand.
  • Strong understanding of tailoring construction, fit principles, fabrics and finishing techniques.
  • Ability to identify trends and translate insight into commercially successful product.
  • Strong understanding of the Topshop customer and a passion for fashion and trends.
  • Commercial awareness balancing creativity, customer demand and business objectives.
  • Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and CAD development.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills to influence stakeholders.
  • Organised and adaptable with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the creative direction and design strategy for Tailoring, aligning with Topshop brand vision.
  • Research global fashion trends, catwalks, street style, and social media insights.
  • Develop seasonal concepts, colour palettes, fabrics, silhouettes and items.
  • Design and deliver fashion-led tailoring ranges; ensure customer relevance.
  • Collaborate with Buying, Technical, Product Development and Supply Chain.
  • Create design packs, CADs and technical briefs for development.
  • Source fabrics, trims and finishes with suppliers to elevate quality.
  • Own category fit and silhouette direction through fittings with technical teams.
  • Analyse trade performance and feedback to inform future decisions.
  • Present concepts and reviews to senior stakeholders.
