Job summary

ASOS seeks a passionate Tailoring Designer to lead the Topshop Tailoring category, translating trends into distinctive collections for a global customer. You will shape seasonal concepts, collaborate across Buying, Technical, Product Development and Supply Chain, and ensure innovative yet commercially successful designs.

You will work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, driving category aesthetics and ensuring high-quality execution while maintaining Topshop’s fashion authority.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in a Tailoring Design role within fast-paced fashion retail.
• Excellent tailoring construction, fit principles and fabric knowledge.
• Proven ability to translate trends into commercially successful product.
• Strong understanding of the Topshop customer and current fashion trends.
• Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and CAD development.
• Excellent presentation and stakeholder communication skills.
• Organised with ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Drive the design direction and strategy for Tailoring, aligning with brand vision.
• Research global fashion trends and translate insights into product opportunities.
• Develop seasonal concepts, colour palettes, fabrics, silhouettes and styling.
• Design and deliver commercially relevant tailoring ranges reflecting brand vision.
• Interpret trends into opportunities balancing innovation and commercial success.
• Collaborate with Buying to build strong, fashion-forward ranges.
• Create detailed design packs, CADs and technical briefs for development.
• Work with Product Development and suppliers on fabrics and finishes.
• Own category fit and silhouette direction; support fittings with Technical teams.
• Present concepts and reviews to senior stakeholders with confidence.
• Deliver products on time, within cost, and to required quality standards.
