Are you looking for a flexible, remote role that allows you to work from anywhere in the world?

Do you have access to a reliable Wi-Fi connection and a laptop or desktop with webcam and audio?

If so, we want to hear from you! As a Remote Interpreter, you will facilitate communication between clients and individuals with limited English proficiency. You will work remotely, providing interpreting services over the phone or via video calls, accurately and efficiently, supporting various professional settings.

Please note this is a self-employed position.

Requirements
The Job
  • Interpreting between English and your native language over the phone or video calls.
  • Providing interpretation services to clients with limited English proficiency.
  • Interpreting for legal, health, and local government services.
  • Checking understanding with non-English speakers after each sentence.
  • Conducting conference, consecutive, and public service interpreting.
  • Providing accurate, confidential, and impartial interpreting services.
  • Maintaining confidentiality and adhering to the Code of Conduct.
About You
  • Fluent in English and another language.
  • Eligible to work in the UK.
  • Age 21 or over.
  • Qualifications such as:
    • Diploma in Public Service Interpreting (DPSI)
    • Community Interpreting
    • NRPSI, CIOL, ITI registration (advantageous)
    • Degree in Translation/Interpreting/Languages
    • Other interpreting-related qualifications
  • Flexible working hours.
  • Ability to work from home.
  • Self-employed and self-managed.
